Makes about 1 lb. of candies.
Ingredients:
1 pound pitted dates
1 cup brandy
1 cup pecan halves
sugar (optional)
Preparation:
1. Soak dates in brandy, turning occasionally, until most of the brandy is absorbed, about 24 hours.

2. Stuff a pecan half in each date; press to close.

3. Roll in sugar.

4. Refrigerate in tightly covered container.
