Description: A delicious and healthy sidedish or snack

Ingredients:
4 large apples, peeled, cored, and cut into pieces
1 cup water
1 tablespoon sugar or sugar substitute, or to taste
2 tablespoons lemon juice, or to taste
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Ginger, if desired, to taste (opt)
Preparation:
1. Place apples and water in saucepan. Bring to boil and cook for about 10 minutes.

2. Blend remaining ingredients with cooked apples and water in blender or food processor; process until well mixed.

3. Taste, and adjust sugar and seasonings as needed.

NOTE: If you like chunky applesauce, you can just remove saucepan from stove after cooking apples, add remaining ingredients, and stir. If lumps are too big or too numerous, mash some of them out.
