Apple Bread Pudding

Description: A favorite during winter and on cool nights

Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
2 cups milk
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup peeled, chopped apples
2 1/2 cups soft bread cubes, crust removed
Preparation:
1. Blend sugar, salt, cinnamon and lemon extract.

2. Stir in the milk and eggs, blending well.

3. Add apples and bread cubes. Let stand 5 minutes.

4. Pour into shallow greased 1 1/2 quart casserole,
spreading evenly.

5. Bake at 350-degrees for 45 minutes until pudding is
lightly golden.
