3/4 cup margarine, softened 3 tablespoons water 3/4 cup shortening 3 teaspoons vanilla 1 1/2 cup packed, light brown sugar 3 3/4 cups flour, unsifted 3/4 cup sugar 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda 3 eggs 3/4 teaspoon salt 3 tablespoons light corn syrup 3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1. Cream margarine, shortening, sugars, eggs, corn syrup, water and vanilla; beat well.
2. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt; add to creamed mixture, beating well.
3. Stir in chips.
4. Drop by rounded teaspoonsful onto cookie sheet.
5. Bake for about 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
6. Allow to cool on cookie sheet for 1 minute; then remove to cooling racks until completely cooled.
