1/2 cup shortening 1/2 cup margarine, softened 1 1/2 cups peanut butter 1 cup sugar 2/3 cup packed brown sugar 2 eggs, beaten 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda 1 teaspoon salt
1. In large bowl, cream shortening, margarine, and peanut butter; add eggs.
2. In another bowl mix dry ingredients. Add this gradually to moist mixture and mix well.
3. Pinch and form golf ball size balls rolled in hands. Place on cookie sheet.
4. Press floured fork crosswise on top of each cookie to flatten.
5. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes just until golden, longer for crispier cookies.
