1 egg, well beaten 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup margarine or butter 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 8-ounce package chopped dates 2 cups Rice Krispies 1/4 cup finely chopped nuts 1 package flaked coconut
1. Mix egg, margarine, salt, and dates in suacepan; cook, stirring frequently, until dates are soft and mixture is thick.
2. Place saucepan in ice water until mixture is cool enough to handle.
3. Add Rice Krispies and nuts; mix quickly.
4. Shape into small balls with buttered hands; roll each ball in coconut.
