1 lb lean ground beef 1/4 lb bulk pork sausage 1 small onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced 1 1-lb can whole kernel corn 1 1-lb can tomatoes 18 to 24 pitted ripe black olives (optional) 1 1/4 teaspoons salt 2 teaspoons chili powder 1 cup yellow cornmeal 1 cup milk 2 eggs, beaten 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1. In large skillet, cook first four ingredients, stirring frequently, until meat is browned and onion is tender. Drain fat.
2. Stir in next five ingredients; heat throughout. Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole dish.
3. Mix next three ingredients; pour over meat. Spread cheese over top.
4. Bake in preheated 350 degree F oven for 50-60 minutes, until browned.
