1 cup sugar 1 cup water 3 tablespoons cornstarch 2 tablespoons strawberry Jello several drops red food coloring 2 1/2 cups fresh, sliced strawberries 1 pie shell, baked
1. Mix sugar, water, and cornstarch; bring to boil over medium to low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
2. Remove from heat; stir in Jello and red food coloring. Cool.
3. Arrange strawberries in bottom of pie shell. Pour cooled mixture over top.
4. Refrigerate until congealed. Serve chilled with whipped cream.
