2 tablespoon cooking oil 4 cups chopped or shredded cabbage 1 small onion, chopped salt and pepper, to taste 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1 teaspoon sugar 1-2 tablespoon white vinegar, to taste
1. Heat oil over medium heat in large skillet. Add cabbage, onion, and seasonings and stir until combined. Simmer, covered, for 10 minutes.
2. Combine sugar and vinegar together; stir until sugar is dissolved.
3. Pour vinegar over cabbage and simmer an additional 5 minutes.
4. Stir just before serving to mix.
