3/4 lb. bulk Italian sausage 1/2 cup chopped onion 1 garlic clove, minced 1 can butter beans, rinsed and drained 1 can black beans, rinsed and drained 1 can diced tomatoes, undrained 1 can beef broth 1 Tbs. minced fresh basil or 1 tsp. dried basil 2 Tbs. shedded Parmesan cheese
1. In a large saucepan, cook sausage, onion and garlic until the sausage is browned; drain.
2. Add beans, tomatoes, broth and basil.
3. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
4. Sprinkle each serving with Parmesan cheese.
