1 1/2 cups granulated sugar 2 tsps. mustard powder 2/3 cup rice wine vinegar 2 tsps. onion juice 2 cups safflower oil 1 Tbs. poppy seeds Salt and pepper, to taste
1. In a blender or food processor, combine the sugar, mustard powder, and vinegar and process on low until smooth.
2. Beat in the onion juice.
3. With the blender running, add the oil in a narrow stream until the dressing has thickened. Add the poppy seeds and salt and pepper and process on low for a few seconds to incorporate.
