1/2 cup dry split peas 2 cups water 2 cups grated cheddar cheese 1/2 onion, finely chopped salt and pepper to taste
1. Cook peas in water until tender. Drain.
2. In a blender, place warm cooked peas, cheese, onion, salt and pepper. Blend until smooth.
4. Spread on sandwiches while still warm.
