1/2 pound lean ground beef (10\% fat) 2 cups water 2 cups spaghetti sauce (meatless, low sodium) 1/2 cup chopped onion 1/4 cup chopped green pepper 1/2 teaspoon chili powder 1 teaspoon chopped garlic 1 teaspoon oregano 5 ounces uncooked spaghetti noodles 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1. In a large skillet, combine ground beef, water, spaghetti sauce, onion, green pepper, chili powder, garlic and oregano.
2. Bring to a boil.
3. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 30 minutes. Stir often.
4. Add the spaghetti; simmer, covered, for 30 minutes. Stir often.
5. Serve with parmesan cheese.
