1 quart strawberries 4 cups sugar 2 tablespoon vinegar
1. Toss strawberries with sugar. Let stand 3 to 4 hours.
2. Heat strawberry mixture to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil rapidly 10 minutes.
3. Stir in vinegar. Boil, skimming off foam, 10 minutes.
4. Pour boiling mixture into hot jars, leaving 1/4-inch headspace; seal.
5. Process 15 minutes in boiling water bath.
Makes about 4 half-pints.
Note: Be sure strawberries do not have hollow cores.
