1 cup sugar 1 quart milk 4 eggs 1 teaspooon vanilla flavoring
1. Combine milk and sugar in top of double boiler, stirring well. Heat and stir until warm.
2. Add milk to eggs, stirring well; return to double boiler.
3. Stir constantly until liquid thickens and coats spoon.
4. Remove from heat; add vanilla flavoring.
