2 lbs. tender okra 4 small hot red peppers 4 cloves garlic, peeled 3 cups white vinegar 2 cups water 1/3 cup salt 1 tsp. celery or mustard seed
1. Prick okra with fork and pack lengthwise, alternating points up and down into hot, sterilized pint jars.
2. Put 1 pepper pod and 1 garlic clove in each jar.
3. Combine vinegar, water, salt, and celery seed in saucepan and bring to boil.
4. Pour at once over okra, filling to within 1/2 inch of top.
5. Seal and process in boiling water 5 minutes. Let okra stand several weeks before serving.
