1/2 cup margarine, softened 1/2 cup shortening 1 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 cup sugar 2 eggs 2 tablespoons water 2 tablespoons light corn syrup 2 teaspoons vanilla 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger 1 1/2 cups unsifted all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 3 cups old fashioned oats 1 cup raisins
1. Cream margarine, shortening, sugars, eggs, corn syrup, water, and vanilla; beat well.
2. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture. Beat well.
3. Stir in oats and raisins.
4. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet.
5. Bake at 350F for 15 minutes.
6. Cool slightly on sheet before removing to cooling racks.
