3 or 4 onions 1/2 tsp. salt 1 egg 1 cup flour 1/2 tsp. soda 1 cup buttermilk
1. Slice onions 1/4 inch thick. Separate into rings.
2. Soak in ice water for 2 hrs. Drain and dry.
3. Mix remaining ingredients in bowl.
4. Dip onions in batter then fry in hot oil until brown.
