1 1/2 cups sugar 12 ounces chocolate chips 1 tablespoon butter 1 cup nuts, chopped 1/2 cup evaporated milk 1 teaspoon vanilla 16 large marshmallows*
1. Combine sugar, butter, and milk in a 2-quart glass mixing bowl.
2. Cook in microwave on 70\% power for 2 to 3 minutes, or until mixture begins to boil.
3. Remove from microwave and stir well.
4. Return to microwave and cook on 70\% power for 2 to 3 minutes, or until mixture boils and sugar is COMPLETELY dissolved.
5. Stir in marshmallows and chocolate chips; beat until smooth. IMPORTANT: Fudge sets up rapidly, so don't delay when doing this step.
6. Stir in nuts and vanilla; spread mixture into an 8-inch buttered baking dish.
7. Cool. Cut into 1-inch squares.
*NOTE: 16 miniature marshmallows equal one large marshmallow.
