1 head lettuce 1 cup celery, diced 4 eggs hard cooked and sliced 1 16-oz. can English peas, drained 1/2 cup green pepper, diced 1 sweet onion, diced 8 slices bacon fried and diced 2 cups mayonnaise 2 Tbs. sugar 4-oz. cheddar cheese, grated
1. Tear lettuce into small bite-size pieces and place in a 9x12-inch serving dish. Layer the rest of ingredients in order given; add the sugar to the mayonnaise and spread over the top as you would frosting.
2. Top with grated cheese. Cover and refrigerate for 8 to 12 hours or overnight.
3. At serving time, garnish with additional bacon or parsley.
