1 large cabbage 1 large onion, chopped 3/4 cup sugar 1 teaspoon celery salt 1 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup vinegar 3/4 cup oil
1. Place chopped cabbage and onion in layers in a dish.
2. Boil vinegar, sugar, salt, and celery seed for 2 minutes.
Add oil; bring to a boil.
3. Pour over cabbage and onions while hot.
4. Pour in tightly covered container and refrigerate overnight.
Recipe can be prepared several days in advance, as this will keep in the refridgerator for 4-6 days.
