3/4 cup cornmeal 3/4 cup cold water 2 1/2 cups boiling water 3/4 teaspoon salt utter, margarine or light cream molasses or sugar
1. Mix cornmeal and cold water in 2-quart saucepan.
2. Stir in boiling water and salt.
3. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils; reduce. heat.
4. Cover and cook over low heat 10 minutes.
5. Serve hot with butter and molasses as a cereal or dessert.
