1 pound lean hamburger 2 medium potatoes, sliced 4 carrots, sliced 1 large onion, sliced 4 tablespoons water salt and pepper to taste
1. Make 4 patties with hamburger meat.
2. Place each patty on a square of heavy-duty aluminum foil, torn large enough to fold and make a "tent."
3. Salt and pepper each patty.
4. Layer potatoes, onions, and carrots on top of each patty, distributing ingredients evenly.
5. Sprinkle one tablespoon water per patty over vegetables.
6. Salt and pepper to taste.
7. Fold and seal aluminum foil like a tent.
8. Place on baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees until meat is juicy but not pink (about 30 minutes).
Hint: If you poke a hole in the middle of
each patty with a drinking straw,
it will cook faster.
Other vegetables can be substituted. Chicken breasts can be substituted for beef.
