2-3 tablespoons oil 1 low-sodium, lean ham steak (2 lb) 1/2 cup water 3 tablespoons prepared mustard 3 tablespoons Splenda 1/4 teaspoon blackstrap molasses
1. Put oil in heavy skillet over medium heat, and fry ham until golden on both sides. Remove ham from skillet, et it on a platter, and keep it warm.
2. Pour water into skillet and stir it around, scraping brwon bis from ham. Stir in mustard, Splenda, and molasses, and salt and pepper, to taste. Pour over ham and serve.
HINT: To prevent saltiness and reduce the sodium content, soak the ham for serveral hours in pot of cold water in the refrigerator before cooking.
