2 1/2 cup diced mixed fruits 1 tsp. unflavored gelatin 2 Tbs. lemon juice 1 3-oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened 1/4 cup mayonnaise Dash of salt 2/3 cup whipping cream 1/2 cup chopped nuts 1/2 cup sugar
1. Drain fruits. Soak gelatin in lemon juice; dissolve over hot water.
2. Blend cream cheese with mayonnaise and salt; stir in gelatin.
3. Whip cream until stiff, adding sugar gradually during last stages of beating; fold in cheese mixture, nuts and fruits.
4. Pour into refrigerator tray lined with waxed paper; freeze tray lined with waxed paper; freeze until firm.
5. Turn out on platter. Remove paper; cut in slices.
6. Serve on crisp lettuce with additional mayonnaise; garnish with red cherries.
