4 tablespoons butter 6 tablespoons Parmesan cheese 8 ounces fettuccine 1/2 cup heavy cream salt and pepper to taste
1. Melt butter in a small saucepan over a low heat.
2. Remove from heat; add cream and grated Parmesan.
3. Return to stove; heat the sauce through and melt cheese. Do not boil.
4. Stir in salt and pepper.
5. Cook fettuccine in boiling, salted water. Drain well.
6. Combine noodles and sauce; let stand, covered, for two minutes before serving.
