1 3-lb. fryer salt and pepper to taste 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix 1 4-oz. can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
1. Remove chicken skin. Split and quarter chicken; place each quarter on a piece of foil.
2. Sprinkle with salt and pepper; sprinkle with soup mix and mushrooms.
3. Wrap securely; place in shallow pan.
4. Bake at 300-degrees for 1 hour and 30 minutes. (May be cooked in crock-pot for 6 hours, if desired.)
