2 pounds ground beef 2 tablespoons chili powder 1 tablespoon ground cumin 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes 1 can (15 ounces) red kidney beans, rinsed and drained 1 cup water 1/4 cup hot pepper sauce 2 cups French fried onions, divided sour cream shredded cheddar cheese
1. Cook and stir ground beef, chili powder and cumin in a large nonstick skillet until browned; drain.
2. Transfer to slow cooker. Stir in tomatoes, beans, water, hot pepper sauce and 1/2 cup french fried onions. Cover and cook on low setting for 6 hours (or high setting for 3 hours).
3. Serve chili topped with sour cream, cheese and remaining onions.
