1/2 cup shortening (part butter or margarine) 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 1 cup Gold Medal flour almond-coconut topping (Find recipe in icing category.)
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Mix shortening and sugar thoroughly. Stir in flour. Press and flatten with hand to cover bottom of ungreased oblong pan, 13 x 9 x 2".
3. Bake 10 minutes.
4. Spread with topping.
5. Return to oven and bake 25 minutes more, or until golden brown.
6. Cool slightly, then cut in bars.
