1/3 cup butter (margarine) 1/3 cup lightly packed brown sugar 1/4 cup warm water 1 cup flour, divided 1 cup quick rolled oats 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1. Cream butter and sugar together thoroughly, then beat in water.
2. Set aside 1/4 cup flour for rolling.
3. Mix together the remaining dry ingredients, stir into
creamed mixture.
4. Add remaining flour gradually to dough until mixture is stiff enough to roll.
5. Divide the dough into 3 equal portions. Roll each section of dough to aprox. 1/8 inch thickness and cut into 12 pieces, or use cookie cutter.
6. Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
7. Bake at 350F about 10 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
8. Remove from pan, cool.
