Description: You can use these as a treat for Halloween or at School parties during the fall.

Ingredients:
8 medium apples
8 wooden skewers
2 cups sugar
2/3 cup light corn syrup
1 cup water
1/2 tsp. red food coloring
6 drops of oil of cinnamon
Preparation:
1. Wash apples; remove stems. Stick 1 skewer in each apple.

2. Combine sugar, corn syrup, water and coloring in saucepan; cook, stirring, until mixture comes to a boil.

3. Cook over medium heat to hard-crack stage.

4. Add oil of cinnamon; remove from heat.

5. Dip each apple into syrup, tilting saucepan to coat easier; let excess syrup drip back into saucepan.

6. Place apples on buttered cookie sheet or rack to cool.

7. Make lollipops with remaining syrup.
