1 stick (1/2 cup) margarine or butter 1 cup light brown sugar 1/4 cup milk 1 3/4 cups confectioners sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
1. Melt margarine in small saucepan; add brown sugar and stir well to mix.
2. Add milk. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture begins to boil. Remove from heat.
3. Sift confectioners sugar. Beat in sugar with liquid ingredients.
4. Add vanilla flavoring.
NOTE: This recipe easily frosts a 2-layer cake. Sprinkle top of cake with chopped nuts after frosting.
