1/2 cup butter or margarine 1 1/4 cups brown sugar (packed) 1 egg 1 1/4 cups gold medal flour (plain) 1/4 teaspoon soda 1/8 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans
1. Heat oven to 350-degrees.
2. Cream butter and brown sugar thoroughly. Beat egg in.
3. Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting.
4. Stir dry ingredients together; blend in.
5. Stir in pecans.
6. Drop by 1/4 teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet as cookies flatten and spread.
7. Bake 7 to 8 minutes.
You can add more pecans, if desired.
