1 pound lean ground beef 1 egg 1 small onion, chopped 1/3 cup dry bread crumbs 1/4 cup milk 3/4 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon pepper 1 teaspoon Worchestershire sauce
1. Mix all ingredients.
2. Shape mixture by tablespoonfuls into 1 1/2-inch balls.
(To keep the balls from sticking to hands, occasionally
wet hands in cold water.)
3. Heat 1 tablespoon salad oil in large skillet; cook
meatballs over medium heat until brown, about 20
minutes. Drain off fat.
NOTE: As an alternative to frying in skillet, you can cook
in oven. Place meatballs in lightly greased baking
pan, 13x9x2-inch; bake uncovered in 400-degree oven
until light brown, about 20 minutes. Drain off fat.
These meatballs can be used in a variety of dishes.
