3 slices pineapples
4 slices parma or similar air-dried ham
freshly ground black pepper
1. Peel the bananas and cut in half lengthways. Cut each pineapple slice into eight pieces. Put 6 pineapple pieces between each pair of banana halves. Wrap slice of ham round each pair to hold the pieces together and secure with a wooden toothpick.
2. Cover the grid with metal foil. Grill the bananas for about 15 minutes, turning from time to time. Sprinkle with black pepper before serving.
