8 spare ribs
1 8-oz can sauerkraut
2 cups flour
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup milk
1. Cut spare ribs into portions and place in the bottom of a roasting pan.
2. Add the sauerkraut.
3. Cover the pan and bake at 350 degrees F for 1 1/2 hours.
4. Make dumplings by combining the flour, baking powder, milk, and egg.
5. Remove pan from oven; drop dumplings by spoonfuls on the sauerkraut.
6. Cover pan tightly and continue baking for 30 minutes.
