2 cups crushed Ritz crackers 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese 1 16-oz can asparagus 3 tablespoons margarine 3 tablespoons self-rising flour 1 1/4 cups milk Salt and pepper to taste
1. Cover bottom of lightly greased 8x8 baking dish with crackers.
2. Layer cheese, then asparagus over crackers.
3. Mix remaining ingredients; cook on stovetop over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick (about 5-10 minutes).
4. Pour sauce over asparagus and bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
